The ST Championship leading MINI JCW Team heads back to Florida for the second round of the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge this week for what will be a special weekend for the Team. Not only are they coming off a fantastic first win at Daytona earlier this year, Sebring also marks the Teams second anniversary with MINI USA. Team co-owner, Luis Perocarpi explained, "Two years ago this weekend we started out what has turned into an incredible relationship between MINI USA and LAP Motorsports. We have come a long way since that initial race weekend and for our team, being the Official Race Team of MINI USA is a real honor. The friendships and relationships that we have built up have been amazing and we are proud to be working with such a great company and group of people".

This weekends race also sees a new driver for the #52 car with Jay Salinsky joining the Team and with the car sporting a catchy new livery for primary sponsor Fuse Lenses. Jay will be joined by the highly rated Mark Pombo for this weekends race. Rob Ridgely, team co-owner and lead engineer continued "We are happy to welcome Jay to the team as we go into this weekend determined to repeat the success we enjoyed at Daytona. Competition in the CTSCC is tough, but we feel confident we can come away with another strong result and put MINI back in Victory Lane".

The #73 and #37 MINI JCW's feature unchanged line ups with Daytona race winners, Mat Pombo and Derek Jones in the #73 and Mike La Marra and James Vance in the #37. Practice begins on Thursday, with qualifying on Friday morning. The green flag drops for the second round of the Championship at 3:40pm ET on Friday.
